Hello!

I am a little late for the week, but it is finally here! We have our kick-off event tonight with our panel as well as our telescope demonstration. We had a bit a trouble securing a space outside of the telescope demonstration, but it seems to matter not since it is going to rain tonight. Thus, we have had to move our demonstration inside with identifying parts and pieces of the telescope as well assembling a simple telescope and trying to find objects in the room with basic techniques. A little nervous to see what our turn out will be since our teen event average 5-6 teens. However, this entire week has been advertised and marketed galore so I  truly truly hope that numbers will be high and teens will take advantage of this opportunity. Tuesday evenings are new for us to offer to programs so it will be insightful if this date/time work better than our current slotted Thursday evenings. Hope everyone else's week turns out great!

We are also doing our find Sheldon passive program all week! The artist gave us special permission to do so!

So how did it go? Great idea to dismantle the telescope and look at the parts, and a shame it rained. (but when hasn't it this year?) How was attendance? It's so hard to get teens to come back out on a school night, especially in bad weather. Great job not accepting that and trying something new.

It went really well. Attendance was high for this event probably because we offered AR and VR opportunities as well.
