Engage your Congressperson in #TRW15!

From now until the end of the year, Congress is hard at work on a new education bill that would provide federal funding for schools. Your congressperson needs to hear from you to know that it’s vital to include school libraries in this new bill. Here is your chance to do something locally to initiate national change!

Since Teen Read Week 2015 is approaching, now is a great time to invite your members of Congress to visit your library or take a trip to visit their district office. Whether you are hosting an early kickoff to Teen Read Week or looking to expand your #TRW15 programs beyond the week, this opportunity gives congress members and library supporters to get involved. Congress is in recess during the week of Oct. 12th-16th, which makes it a great time to invite your congressperson to your library or visit their district office!
