Teen Read Week is one of the highlights of the library year for me!  My love for this special time began with "Make Reading a Hobbit".  I believe this week provides a unique opportunity to reach out and engage teens to become involved in their local libraries.  My favorite part of TRW is the reveal of the Teens' Top Ten.  I enjoy promoting the selected titles throughout the summer and encouraging them to vote for their faves.

I love the Teens Top Ten too.  I promote it as well at the library I work.  I also love the great ideas all the teen/youth librarians share and do for the teen population!!!! Teens and teen librarians Rock!

TRW ’12: Making Time for Fun

“If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it. The more you do, the more you can do… and don’t you forget it!” - Lucille Ball One of the biggest excuses/reasons I hear from my teens is that they just don’t have time to read! These teens are too busy practicing, traveling [...]
