Hi Lynda,

I look forward to sharing more about my project and hearing about your project as well.

Cicely, this sounds like such an important project.  We certainly have a lot to talk about! I look forward to hearing more about your project, particularly the novels and other literature you will use.

Best wishes!

Hi!  My name is Cicely Lewis and I am a high school librarian in Norcross, GA.  I am so excited to be a recipient of the Dollar General grant!  My high school services over 3,500 patrons and this is my third year as a school librarian.  I was a teacher for 7 years in the same school and I love working with students in this new capacity.  I plan to use the Dollar General Grant to fund  our Read Woke Challenge.  This challenge requires students to read books about issues that affect our society and bring awareness while promoting tolerance.

I look forward to sharing!

I can't get in the conference call.  Is anybody else in?  It has me on hold listening to music.

I can't get in to the conference call.  Am I too early?  I thought it was 12pm Eastern.  I live in Atlanta, GA.

Hello,

I am in California. I have been on hold since 8:57am. It kicked me off once already and I called back. I emailed Taylor asking if I had the right information. Anyone else?

I'm on hold, too. It bumped me off once and I called back. I emailed Taylor but haven't got a response.

I hope Taylor is okay. I wonder if something happened.

I hope Taylor is okay too.  I thought I had mixed up the dates and times.

I hope she is okay, too.

It just bumped me off again. I have to get ready for a program so I'm going to have to give up. I guess I'll wait for an email.

Sounds good, Terri!  Have a good program!

Great idea. Look forward to learn more about this and how your Read Woke Challenge proceeds.

Has anyone else noticed SPAM or someone from the outside who has hacked this TRW blog site? I have received 2 suspect notifications.

Hi Kimberly!

Yes, the spambots are getting clever. Sometimes their account requests look like real people and they slip through. As soon as I see them I ban them. But feel free to send me an email (tcrossley@ala.org) if there's a bot that I missed.

Teen Read Week: Planning a School-Wide Read Program
